How to keep your cannabis mold-free?

Storage is the most important thing when it comes to keeping your buds away from mold. Cannabis is exposed to inappropriate temperature, light, humidity, and air, and there is a risk of mold, but there are things you can do to extend the shelf life and health of cannabis.

First, make sure your weeds are properly dried and cured. Most professional growers should do this, but when you plant buds yourself, it is important to let the flowers dry properly. This process may take up to seven days and should be done carefully under appropriate environmental conditions. A properly dried weed will successfully heal, keeping it dry enough to smoke and moist enough to preserve the perfect balance between terpenes and trichomes.

Store the flower buds in a cool and dry place, but do not store them in the refrigerator or freezer. The weather is too cold and exposure to a humid environment may induce mold. The ideal storage temperature for your flowers is just below 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Store the flower buds in an airtight container made of dark glass. Mason jars and similar containers limit exposure to air and humidity, which may promote the growth of mold. Many containers sold by pharmacies serve this purpose.

Finally, cannabis requires precise humidity levels to maintain its dry but not too dry, smokeable properties. The humidity in the storage tank should be kept between 59% and 63% to keep the items perfect. You can purchase disposable wet packs to add to your jar.
